Accessing Electronic Resources

Learn how to use the library’s website – both on and off campus – to access the library’s collection of over 300 e-books and over 2,300 e-journals. This session will also cover the library’s online catalog and provide a brief overview of the content and features of the library’s major online databases.

Intended Audience: Students, clinicians, and researchers who are unfamiliar with the library’s online resources, as well as staff who assist researchers by finding journals articles or placing interlibrary loan requests.

Database/Literature Searching

EndNote

This is a self-paced, hands-on workshop covering the use of EndNote software to manage citations for research papers and bibliographies. The workshop covers entering data into EndNote, downloading references from PubMed and other databases, removing duplicates, creating multiple
libraries, and bibliographies. Microsoft Word is used to create a simple document, add references to the document, and then change the citation style. Please note that EndNote offers a similar workshop online.

Intended Audience: Faculty, staff, students, and researchers who are interested in learning how to use EndNote to manage citations for research papers. Intended for individuals who have access to EndNote software or plan to purchase EndNote.
